Elm Street Between Elder and Wade Streets, Over the Rhine, Cincinnati, Ohio

Heading south down Elm Street from Findlay Market, there are more commercial and restaurants spaces compared to Race Street, which run parallel to each other. The north side of Elder Street, below, shows how vibrant the area around the market is.

Heading south, there are a wide variety of Italianate buildings.

But later, taller buildings had begun to be constructed, replacing the earlier, shorter rowhouses.

There are still some vacant lots, left behind by abandonment, but I noticed there is a lot of in-fill being built in the area.

For example, as I walked by here, there was a huge hole being excavated for what I presume will be a fairly large new building.
