Update: This is actually in University City!
Normally I photograph a lot of historic architecture because it is at risk of demolition due to the declining economic fortune of the neighborhood around it.

But in the case of Forsyth Boulevard in the blocks just east of Clayton’s downtown, I am documenting these beauties due to the real threat of them being demolished due to rising property values and the demand to live in the inner ring suburb close to jobs and Forest Park.

And while there has been a lot of demolition already, there is a ton of beautiful houses, and a little bit of multi-family housing mixed in.

The architecture is similar to that of the nearby Moorlands, but on average, while there are some large houses such as the one below, they are a bit smaller and less grand.

The Tudor Revival prevails, not surprisingly the time period.

Hopefully the demolition will end soon.

And then we reach Big Bend Boulevard a little ways after this house.
