There’s a very cool public art exhibit going on around St. Louis called CounterPublic, which you can read about here.

As part of that exhibit, we were recently able to see the interior of the old Gingham Girl grain elevator on Chouteau’s Landing.

Amazingly, none of the grain chutes or other funnels had been removed, and you can get an idea of how the grain elevator functioned when it was operational.
