Greenwood Cemetery

Update: By the summer of 2019, the vast majority of the volunteer trees and thick underbrush has been cleared away by the cemetery association and volunteers.

I’m so impressed by the hard work of volunteers who’ve been cleaning away underbrush. When I first visited, the upper portion, near St. Louis Avenue in Hillsdale, had been cleared.

But going down the hill, I was greeted by what is obviously recently cleared junk trees and bushes.

And I revisited the grave of Harriett Scott, the wife of Dred, who is buried in Calvary. The structure below seems to be a monument to her. I read a year or two ago that an increasing number of people have no idea who the Scotts are. How pathetic.
