Halloween at the Lemp Brewery

I went to the Lemp Brewery haunted house in mid October, which gave me the chance to take some bad photos of the place at night.

It’s pretty fun to walk around the place at night, with lights giving a nice perspective on the architecture.

You enter the cellars under the brew house, and then go under the alley to the malt house, which has some really nice vaults.

What’s really cool is you can see a couple of passageways that date back to 1874 that are normally closed to the public.

Very cool buildings— is there ever going to be some adaptive use of the complex? Could it ever be an active brewery again? Seems a shame for them essentially to simply sit idle.

The Lemp Brewery complex would be such a cool mixed use property with loft, office & entertainment spaces. But any modernization would also ruin the mysterious nostalgic state that it has held for decades. It’s one of the few time capsules left in the area.

Even if you call this collection of photographs “bad.” I do like how the sky and lighted brick colors have an indoor set lighting, model animation, cinematic like to them. Gerry Anderson would be figuratively proud. (Look up the name if you like. Thunderbirds, Captain Scarlet, Joe 90, etc. ) Also thanks for sharing some photos of the passageways that are publicly off bounds. It’s nice to have some fun once in a while.
