Thanks to a tip, we explored a cemetery in Lake St. Louis just across the street from the Meadows shopping development in Lake St. Louis. It is hiding plain sight, so to speak.

It is extremely old, based off the interments on the sign.

It is a very intriguing cemetery, as the monuments are either so badly worn or they were always just monoliths that protruded from the ground.

There also looks to be what was a low rubble stone wall that enclosed the cemetery. There is thick undergrowth obscuring much of the stone today.

This tombstone looks to have been engraved at some point.
