Continuing on to the east on Maple Avenue past Maple Place in the West End, we see more of the typical housing stock for the neighborhood.

Many houses are three story, such as the one in the upper right, which is only seen in this area north of Delmar.

I’ve always liked this apartment building below, which probably originally had many more windows where the x-shaped designs are now.

The apartment building style below is quite common in Chicago, but not so much in St. Louis.

The rest of the houses on the block are typical single or two family houses before we reach Hamilton Avenue.
