Update: The school was demolished in 2008. The Clemens Mansion was completely destroyed by suspected arson in the early morning hours of July 12, 2017. See photographs of the mansion in the 1960s here. The City of St. Louis cut ties with Paul McKee’s Northside in June of 2018.
Two North St. Louis institutions continue to fade from the streetscape of the city. Above, the demolition (which is probably more advanced now) of St. Stanislaus’s school building continues.
Also, it looks like there’s been a little more collapse on the chapel at the Clemens Mansion. The plaster work inside must be completely destroyed by now by the elements.
The school is gone now. Just grass there. 🙁
Just what St. Louis City needs: more grass.
