Old North St. Louis Revisited

Update: The house above on the left was destroyed by fire before Thanksgiving of 2022.

The northern part of Old North St. Louis has some incredible abandoned buildings that could be great rehabs.

Update: It was actually the McKinley Bridge that the train tracks went across.

I also wandered into the southern portion of Old North, an area that is deeply isolated by heavy brush and the train trestle that goes across the Merchant’s Bridge, I think.

Update: The wall of the house above collapsed several years after this photograph was taken; its sorry state can be seen in the first photograph in this post from June of 2019.
