For some reason the famous billionaire Jim McKelvey owns this vacant plot of land at the northwest corner of Cass Avenue and 16th Street. There is a huge mound of dirt that is eroding onto the streets around the property.

How do I know? Well, I looked up the owner and it is listed under “900 N Tucker LLC,” which is also the address of the St. Louis office of Square, founded by McKelvey. But in addition to that, I looked up the public documents for the filing of the LLC at the Missouri Secretary of State, and McKelvey is listed as one of the partners in 900 N Tucker. I guess when you’re a billionaire you can do eccentric things like this in low-income minority neighborhoods.
