I could have sworn I had a picture of the front of this house, but I can’t seem to find it now. But what a story this house tells. While yes, many houses, when converted to boarding houses saw expansions out the back, I do not think that is what happened here. This was just one swanky house in the blocks west/northwest of the city right after the Civil War. It’s a shame to see it sit empty like this. Who bricked up all of the windows, and why? It sits abandoned, rotting away.
Is this a McKee property languishing under his care, an LRA property they refuse to get rid of, or some other option? I do not see any structural damage to the brick walls, so it should make a good rehab for someone.
