Skinker-DeBaliviere #6, Modernist In-Fill at Westminster and River des Peres Avenue

Readers who attended my recent lecture about the covering of the River des Peres will remember that the waterway once came up the right-of-way of the eponymous avenue. Because it was covered over in the 1920s and 30s, and most of the neighborhood was already built, Modernist in-fill was built later on the newly freed-up land. This little interesting building is one of them.

Had no clue that’s how these little buildings came to be or that they were that old.
