St. Louis Hills, November 2024

I was in St. Louis Hills so I thought I would see if I could find as many Spanish Revival houses as possible. I ran out of ones to find after awhile.

The house above was probably not painted white originally.

The houses and apartment buildings of St. Louis Hills represent an interesting transition from revival styles to the Modern era. I wondered if the more modern examples above and below perhaps could be seen as more streamlined versions of the Spanish Revival, or the natural continuation of the style as the decades passed.

Of course, there are also plenty of other revival styles, such as the Tudor Revival, which we see below.

And then we get to the 1930s and 40s when we get the much more Modern houses and apartments that we see below.
