The recent crash of an automobile into St. Louis institution Gus’ Pretzel’s Shop was logical. I’ll explain why.

Vehicles come whipping off of southbound Interstate 55 every thirty seconds or less, and the vast majority of them make little to no effort to stop, making the assumption that no one will be coming from westbound Arsenal Street. Note that the right turn lane, below, is wide enough for one of Caterpillar’s famous mining dump trucks, assuring that our treasured motorists will not have to let up on the gas pedal or press on the brake pedal. While I don’t know for sure if the woman driving had just exited the interstate, the whole intersection is ridiculously wide, despite theoretically only being one lane in each direction with a turn lane.

It is little surprise with such a ridiculous environment created for reckless driving that a vehicle crashed into Gus’ Pretzels.

Ah, thank you for the much-needed context.
