I’m not a big believer in tearing down our architectural history, but I think this building shows what proper new construction in historical neighborhoods should be. This building has classic/historic details and materials that fit into the fabric of the University’s campus. I wouldn’t condone tearing down other buildings around town, but this building could be an example of what can fill the empty lots in Midtown/Locust Business District and other areas.
