I’ve always been enthralled with Union Station.
It would appear that a lot of the swag* has been dissolved by all of those years of STL coal smoke. Oddly, its sibling on the left seems largely unaffected?
* = new word for me!
More rain hitting it from the west?
I think that’s sandstone, and not the hardier and denser limestone.
I expect the slope and curve at the end has offered greater exposure to the action of the rain, while the other little vignette lies on a flat vertical surface.
