I’ll have to admit when I got home and actually looked at the photographs I had taken of this street, I was very disheartened. I have photographed the twin apartment buildings above twice, once back in May of 2012 (badly) and again in August of 2015.

I also photographed these two just really beautiful twins above when I was coming down Ridge Avenue back in June of 2021; they are still sitting abandoned.

This block is just in really bad shape. Abandonment, fires, and other just all around disinvestment has hit this area severely.

This school building was originally part of Mount Calvary Lutheran, whose church is right next door and operated there from 1913 to 1964.

Mount Calvary is now gone and the building is occupied by New White Stone MB Church, at the southwest corner with Union Boulevard.
