What do I spy? Why, it’s the Anheuser-Busch logo from the now-shuttered brewery in Newark, New Jersey. Remember, St. Louis brewers pioneered the opening of breweries in other cities; many companies believed that it was impossible to replicate the same taste of a beer as the home brewery elsewhere. Falstaff was the first to do it, and then Anheuser-Busch followed. Today, Anheuser-Busch produces Budweiser all over the world. Newark was Anheuer-Busch’s first brewery outside of St. Louis.
