Laurel Hill Cemetery has an interesting story, which can be read here. It is one of a multitude of privately owned cemeteries along St. Charles Rock Road.

With the Clayton skyline in the background, this interesting monument features the Four Evangelists.

First is St. Mark, with the lion.

Then St. Luke with the ox.

St. John with the eagle.

And finally Matthew with the angel.

This beautiful copse of trees marks another crossroads in the paths, as the Four Evangelist monument does.
