The long vacant Carter Carburetor plant is finally being demolished.
Stopped by yesterday purely by accident. Given the toxicity of the building–I was surprised to see the way in which they were going about the demolition. One of the pieces of machinery we saw active resembled a wood chipper, in that we saw concrete going in, and particles/dust flying out the other end. I sure hope they have every spec of asbestos removed, otherwise, that’s straight up biological warfare on the surrounding neighborhood.
