I took a look at the south side of Cass Avenue, after having looked at the north side of the street on several occasions over the years, including January of 2013, again in January of 2017, and one more time in December of 2022.

While clearly once and still a somewhat trafficked thoroughfare, I never hear anyone talking about “revitalizing the Cass Avenue corridor.”

The story of the Western Supplies Company, which is the building in the two photographs above, is actually very interesting and you can read about it here in a St. Louis Magazine article.

I’ve looked at this incredibly patinaed building before, back in December of 2013. Wow, has it really been that long?

I saw these buildings right before I reached North Grand Boulevard, which if you haven’t seen it lately, has been undergoing some pretty dramatic changes recently. I’ll cover that in the future.
