Moving east of Ohio Avenue, Geyer Avenue shows the detrimental effects of the interstate and its offramp to South Jefferson.

But there are also very old Italianate houses, probably from the late 1870s.
Right before the street closure is this towering edifice, which I cannot tell if it is under renovation or not. There is a McDonald’s nearby that drags down the neighborhood, and brings noise and trash.
I love your observations. Your comment about the last property, that you can’t tell if it’s under renovation or not, well, I see the dumpster. That is there most likely to fool and give an impression that it is under renovation because there is a requirement that property receiving funding like grants and loans are supposed to show progress.
There is a property on 20th in Hyde Park that has had scaffolding up in the same spot, untouched for at least three years and a property on 14th and Farrar that has been gutted for at least a year but the ‘person’ keeps having huge dumpsters delivered . No workers are ever present.
People who see the empty dumpsters use them for old tires and furniture and scrap from their own rehab.
