Kingsbury Place

Perhaps I’ll just let the photographs speak for themselves; Kingsbury Place is not the most famous of the private streets in St. Louis, but it certainly holds its ground in the finesse of its architecture. What is most interesting is that it shows how styles had already begun to change since the private streets to the east had been built; we see less of the strident Beaux-Arts and more of the Tudor Revival and other more “English” styles you might see in Hollywood movies. I feel like I see the influence of Maritz and Young as well.
