Update: I returned to this block in the summer of 2019, the fall of 2020 and the summer of 2023 (second and third photos).
Minerva Avenue has the most exquisite row of apartment buildings that stretch up the north side of the street. There are two models, but both have slightly different brick patterns.
Unfortunately, about half of them have been demolished. I am going to assume that since the buildings stretch up the street, that most of the vacant lots had similar buildings.
It creates one of the more interesting streetscapes in St. Louis, and it’s sad to see that it is slowly disappearing.
As I suspected, all of the buildings were identical, per the Sanborn Maps.
