North Side of Stansbury Street, Marine Villa

Stansbury Street is one of those weird little streets that only goes for one block, and takes its name from the addition of city lots to the city over one hundred years ago. There are some interesting houses, including the one above that I guess is undergoing a gut rehab.

After World War II, some homeowners “updated” their houses by slapping on a new front, which perhaps is not as successful as it probably seemed back in the 1950s or 60s.

In fact, there are many later modifications from previous decades, as I suspect happened on these two houses below, as well.

There are many houses of varying ages on the east end of the block.
