Link to its page on the Archdiocese’s closed parishes site. The photo also shows the pyramidal hipped roof.
    It does appear well-maintained.

I remember this church from my preschool years in the early 1950s. Mom and I lived in an apartment building across the street on the northeast corner of Page and Wittier. The building is long gone now and the lot is vacant. The cross on the roof of St. Ann’s was lit up like a Christmas tree with brilliant white lights year round. I recall staring at the beautiful church and cross at night. Maybe my memory’s playing tricks on me but it seemed like the cross was fastened to a pedestal and actually rotated at night.

Ken, it’s perfectly possible! The bell tower has been simplified, from an original pyramid shaped roof. http://archstl.org/archives/closedparish/st-ann
