Pennsylvania Avenue Between Marceau and Hurck Streets

Crossing over Marceau Street, there are many houses that date from the late Nineteenth or early Twentieth Century, with a few earlier houses mixed in.

Very early wood frame houses are still standing, but they are rare on this block.

I strongly suspect the house below was originally an Italianate style building, with a typical cornice on the front, but it has been simplified due to renovations.
