A Blog detailing the beauty of St. Louis architecture and the buildup of residue-or character-that accumulates over the course of time.

I love ghost signs, and this one on North Broadway is one that I hadn’t seen or photographed before. I like the name.
It would be good to repaint these signs as they ae supposed to be. They could have a border in a specific color and “Historical Renewal” and the year it riginated. It could even get a small advertisement of a company’s name or logo. These could also be used by companies for civic service. There are two I would love to see. The full wall “orange Whistle” sign at Michigan and Loughborough. The other at Michigan and Nagel. That one has “Lily Candy Store” and on the front and a 28th Ward sign.
