As far as I can tell, the only reason it’s still there is the thieves have left and have never come back. There has not been any signs of more theft in a while. If you look closely, you can see they managed to get all the way up to the very top of the spire right below the cross.
Can’t believe there’s some copper left on the spire…it doesn’t seem possible that this building is going to waste in a major American city…

Sad to see this slowly decay..guess there aren’t as many things to do with an old church like you can with warehouses or schools.
