Baden in Winter #21, Switzer at Bittner Avenue

At the intersection of Bittner and Switzer are a couple of houses that seem fortified against the nearby train tracks and cut-through traffic. I think these houses are occupied. Then there are these two well-kept Colonial Revival houses.

Baden in Winter #17, Switzer Avenue #1

I was very saddened to see the state of the houses facing the railroad tracks along Switzer Avenue. They are mostly vacant, and in a severe state of dilapidation.

Baden in Winter #16, The House by the Tracks

Update: Demolished by July of 2019. This may have been an African American school, but I’m working on confirming this. This cool house sits right at the southern tip of Switzer Avenue. Its longitudinal side facing the street and railroad tracks lends me to believe it is one of the oldest buildings in Baden.
