The Big Muddy Dance Company Present Retrospective

I’m a big fan of the Big Muddy Dance Company, and their next performance is coming up the first weekend of April on the 1st and 2nd at 7:30 PM both nights at the historic Grandel Theater, 3610 Grandel Square. For those interested in watching a virtual performance, viewing will be available the following weekend from 5:00 PM, Friday, April 8th to April 10th at 11:59 PM,

From the Big Muddy press release:

A celebration of audience favorites from The Big Muddy’s journey over the past decade, and a peek into the next chapter with two world premieres. Featured choreographers include Kirven Douthit-Boyd, Daniel Marshalsay, Harrison McEldowney, Joshua Manculich, and founding company dancer Geoff Alexander. The production showcases the evolution of The Big Muddy in its first eleven seasons, highlighting the company’s versatility in a wide range of movement styles and techniques.

I encourage you to come out and support Big Muddy; their blend of classical and modern dance has always been of interest to me, and I’ve written about them in the past at St. Louis Magazine. The option of either attending in person or virtually is also great in what is hopefully the waning days of this pandemic.
