Two Houses, Disguised as One, Central West End

I once remarked that St. Louis builders and perhaps residents as well wanted to disguise the fact that they lived in multi-family dwellings, so they made duplexes look like a single, grand house.


Upon first glance, this house around the corner from the New Cathedral looks like a mansion, but when one looks closer, you see two front doors. It’s an elegant house, nonetheless.

    I Ottawa we have something similar, yet its much more impressive, and theyre called the Chatsworth Cresent Mansions, yet they are triplexes, situated north of the golf course.
