Dr. Martin Luther King Drive is actually a collection of a couple of old major thoroughfares, including Franklin Avenue and Easton Avenue. It’s sad to drive along this street in the blocks on either side of Grand Boulevard.
While there are occupied businesses, with pride in their painted signs, there is much abandonment.
Houses still fall to the wrecking ball on the blocks nearby. This house below looks to have been a partner in at least two other rowhouses. They’re all gone now, save this one.
This house was renovated to a single picture window, probably sometime in the 1950s and 60s. It sits here now, badly mutilated.
