The Hyde Park neighborhood stretches over to the west, quite a ways west of North Florissant Avenue, and there are many different areas that have a much different feel than east of that major artery. This is near where Bob Reuter’s boyhood home is.
There is a public housing project that is being renovated, according to building permits filed with the City, totaling over a million dollars. Below, some buildings are probably not going to make it.
Some areas, which I’ve looked at before (remember the bulldozer?) are still vacant lots, with tall grass that has gone unmowed all summer and fall long.
