York Village

York Village, just southeast of the intersection of Highway 40 and McKnight Road, was laid out in 1926 in Brentwood.

The firm of Meier and Comfort was the developer, and while many different revival styles now proliferate throughout the subdivision, originally there were Tudor Revival houses towards the entrance.

The architect was Daniel Mullen, who also designed the Seven Gables Inn.

Here is an advertisement for the subdivision.
