Update: The ruins of the church were later demolished.

Next we head into Fountain Park, where there has probably been the most media attention. I hesitated in photographing the Centennial Christian Church due to the tragic death of Patricia Penelton, one of five people who perished during the tornado. The church is planning on demolishing the heavily damaged structure and rebuilding.

The beautiful curved storefront on the northeast corner of the park has been destroyed, after years of attempts to save it.

Euclid School, which I photographed back in November of 2020, has been severely damaged. With so many occupied schools in the district, I doubt that there will be money to fix a closed school anytime soon.

Heading up Euclid Avenue north of the park, we see two buildings that I also photographed in better times back in August of 2024.

North of Page Boulevard, Euclid Avenue is blocked off, but this is what it used to look like. I think I saw what it looks like now in a news broadcast, and it is not pretty. It is so sad what has happened to the Fountain Park neighborhood.
