Compton Avenue and Environs, Sunset

Tower Grove East west of Compton Avenue was basically suburbia when it was built in the early Twentieth Century, so with some exceptions, most of the houses were built within a decade or two of each other. While the architecture might vary, it all tends to fit into a fairly similar vein: multicolor front façades with red brick side and back walls.
