Farrington Street and Laurel Avenue, St. Paul, Minnesota

On the northwest corner of Summit Avenue and Farrington Street is this amazing Romanesque Revival mansion with some Renaissance Revival elements in the porches.

They look like something I would see in Florence or other Italian cities.

All of the mansions have their carriage houses on the back side of the property.

Then we headed down Farrington Street, which has a wonderful mix of wood frame Queen Anne Style houses, restored and painted in the original (or style appropriate) colors. But there are a wide variety of styles, from many different eras.

Turning onto Laurel Street, the Queen Anne style continues.

There is even one house that sneaks in that shows the influence of Frank Lloyd Wright, which I really enjoyed among the Victorian Period houses.
