Hope Lutheran Church

Originally opening as Hope Evangelical Lutheran in 1916, here we have an interesting example of a church in the Italian Romanesque Revival style on the outside.

You’ve got your typical hallmarks: small windows, a stout massing and a campanile with a red tile roof.

And inside, rotund columns with Roman arches creating arcades separating the aisles.

Likewise, the motifs of the rounded arches continue in the woodwork in the pulpit and behind the altar.
