North Twentieth Street From Farrar Street to Newhouse Avenue, Hyde Park

I’ve looked at the east side of North Twentieth Street in January of this year, and now I thought I’d look at the west side, starting at Farrar Street, where the old Krey Packing Plant is seen in the background.

Next to this beautiful house is this interesting little office. I wonder if it had anything to do with the slaughter house to the west.

Further north, there are a whole host of incredible buildings.

I can only imagine that there were once hundreds of streetscapes such as the one below all over the city.

Italianate houses, such as the ones below…

…as well as very old houses that were probably built first.

The Second Empire houses are incredible in Hyde Park.

We then reach Newhouse Avenue, where the street is blocked off.
