The block of Virginia north of Meramec is quiet north of the busy commercial strip due to it being one block long before hitting Marquette Park, and it is one-way southbound, so there is little reason for anyone other than residents of the block to use it. Urban Eats sits on the northeast corner of the intersection with Meramec.
Going south from Gasconade, there is this severely reworked two-family flat above, which probably originally showed Arts and Crafts elements on its front facade.
There other small houses that have been altered, such as the one above, and this very old Greek Revival house below, with an expanded dormer.
Then the long wall of a storefront along Meramec appears when we finish up this block.
