It’s important to keep an eye out for anomalies, as you might not spot an old stone wall with Gothic lancet windows hiding along an alley, revealing that an older structure has been built into a newer church. In this case, it was an old Church of Latter Day Saints that once sat on the east side of Glasgow in between Dickson and Dayton.
Somewhat reminiscent of European churches, which often have walls from previous, older churches embedded in a later building. Of course, in Europe, those are 900-year-old wall fragments embedded in a 600-year-old church.
Or even in some cities, ancient Roman temple walls, such as the cathedral of Pozzuoli on the Bay of Naples. It’s interesting to see how the trend continues, even in younger countries.
